In spring of 2021, I earned my MFA in painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art. My thesis revolved around memory and perception, roles within the nuclear family, gender roles and stereotypes, the relationship between abstraction and representation, and the psychological impact of paint handling—conveying energy and meaning with my brushstrokes.
